Feral Felt is currently offering the following classes and events, open to the public.
Mark your calendars for a wonderful Spring weekend at @finnriver May 10th & May 11th to celebrate Mothers and Mother Earth. We are excited to be a part of a special lineup of local Artists and Makers that are inspired by Mother Nature and/or utilize materials from the land/sea etc. 12-5pm
In this children’s program we will combine craft and wilderness awareness. Nature games will keep us outside part time. When inside we will book bind a drawing journal, wet felt an egg, weave nests, and needle felt birds. Each student will learn more about their favorite bird. Love of the outdoors and a desire to learn handcrafts encouraged. Ages 7+
In this Harry Potter inspired children’s program we will study magical beasts and craft while listening to The Goblet of Fire. Professor Grubbly-Plank is eager to teach and excited to share what they have learned. We wet felt dragon eggs, create a Monster Book of Monsters, and sew niffler coin purses. Playing Quidditch everyday. For our final day we make Polyjuice Potion punch! Whether you’ve read the Harry Potter books or not, these projects will be fun and magical for all! Ages 7+
Explore the beautiful world of the sea through beach adventures and art. Spend half the day at the beach with the Port Townsend Marine Science Center. Make finger crochet octopi, needle felted orcas, and sewn starfishes with arts educator Myco. Every day crafts, stories, and games to play. Learn more about the ocean and all its delightful creatures! Ages 7-10
Wild crafted folk tales, forest games, and art. As time and forest materials allow, our art projects will include book binding nature journals, wet felting acorns, finger crochet rope, and making cocoons and butterflies. Come play and let your wild nature free! Ages 4+
Bluey Stumpfest is a program full of Bluey themed games and art. Our creations will include a chattermax puppet, Bluey/Bingo ear hats, yes/no button box, and woven flappies. With water play, shade time, and crafts we will stay cool during the peak heat of summer. All activities will be held outside. Come play and let your children enjoy stories of some of their favorite characters! Ages 4+
Minecraft CubeCamp is a program full of Minecraft themed games and art. Our creations will include making creeper magnets, paper pig, sword, and a Steve plushie. With water play, shade time, and crafts we will stay cool during the peak heat of summer. All activities will be held outside. Create your own fuzzy lined crown fit for any royal child. Make puppets to play with and gruffalo masks to delight. Leave with monster horns to wear for any occasion. Ages 4+

As time and forest materials allow, our art projects will include nature journals, felted geodes, and primitive loom weaving. There are delicious berries to eat and a sweet small creek to wade in. All activities will be held outside. Come play and let your wild nature free! Ages 4+

Join us at the Finnriver Haybarn on Saturday, March 30th from 12-6pm, for a spring celebration of 2slgbtqia+ makers on the Olympic Peninsula.
Working with Pacific Northwest grown wool roving and olive oil soap, each student will shape and create a custom felted hat. Learn how to make a hood pattern and felt in 3D using a wet resist. Blocking and shaping will be done with the assistance of a variety of unique hat molds to choose from. As well as your head. Make sure to bring dry extra clothes. This class will clean everything but potentially leave your sleeves and collar a little water logged. Olive oil soap makes this felting class a good choice for sensitive skin or allergies.
